Fox Studio Tour and Film Music Masterclass
Today we did a lot of fun things. First the Boston group got breakfast and then boarded the Coach bus to pick up the CineMagic crew from Ireland. We made our way to Fox Studios where we saw the film studios for shows like The Simpsons and the Big Bang Theory along with iconic statues like one from the movie Napoleon Dynamite.

We had a film masterclass with a Fox executive. Here we learned about how music is created for film along with the copyrighting process. After the masterclass we got to watch the entire film X-Men: Dark Phoenix and discuss how the music impacted scenes from the movie. Pictured left is The English High School film student Nyavah Holder asking an executive about her journey to her current position at Fox Studios.

Warner Brothers Tour

CineMagic on the set of Friends
East Boston High School Film Student Sebastian Montoya Parra answers the emergency phone from President Jeb Bartlet's desk featured in the hit tv series, The West Wing.
At the Warner Brothers Studio we went on a tour with a very funny tour guide named Jeffrey where we witnessed a bunch of different movie sets. We entered the Warner Bros archives where we saw costumes from movies like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Harry Potter, and Fantastic Beasts. On our way to Conan O'Brien's studio, we saw Ellen riding a bike down the street! I was so amazed by it I couldn't believe we just saw ELLEN!!!!!

East Boston High School students Nicolette Brangiforte and Juan Arias performed in a scene from Friends.  Nicolette is sitting on the original couch featured in the coffee shop "The Central Perk!"

CineMagic 30th Anniversary Celebration at the British Consulate-General Residence
The British Consulate-General invited us to his residence for a garden party to celebrate CineMagic’s 30th Anniversary.  The students interacted with friends from Belfast and L.A. along with having a chance to meet CineMagic board members. East Boston High School’s Nicolette Brangiforte gave an amazing speech focused on CineMagic’s impact on her and the other students from Boston.
